Hehe commendable try RoRk.
I thought the song had some nice riffs, but it was more like an amalgamation of riffs, rather than a full song that was trying to tell a flowing story. Doesn't have to be, of course. I'm just stating how I felt upon hearing the song. I tend to like songs that have a little more structure and direction.
The solo portion from 1:20 onwards saw a number of timing issues. Phrasing was quite interesting.
Not sure if you were looking for comments on tone of recording as well...but I felt that the lead tone was not too bad, quite clear and sat well in the mix. The guitars background had too much sizzle and gain for me. Some of the cool riffs would have sounded better with less gain. Can try lowering the treble just a tad, and the gain knob for ur distortion as well.
Also, funny that it's called Run Away - cos the starting verse riffs sound like the ending riffs from Sugar Ray's Runaway.
