Yes these are 2008 releases.

The name has changed to American Standard Strats.
Instead of Series.

It should be updated on Fender's website on Monday.

Btw, just to clear up confusion, I am not selling the guitars.
Just information for everyone.

Those should be the older ones, although the upgraded version should still have that colour.

Its more of hardware and finishing techniques upgrade.

hmm if u think about it leo fender was not just thinking about his customers he also helped them in various stuffs not looking at the $$,after he passed away
thing changed fender now looks at new ways of earning $$ instaed of the needs of guitarists...we cant blame them they need to make a living

Actually that's not really the case.

They have addressed some points in the new upgrade.

Which is, high mass solid metal block.
Changed the saddles to those that people have been swapping out for the previous version.

i.e Callaham saddles.

Thinner undercoat finishing.
Bi flex truss rod, which is like what warmoth is producing for better neck stability.

And the price has remained, which I think is a good thing.

they switched back to the 50's-60's era spaghetti logo! the american standard now looks like a jap strat haha
