All Hope is Gone-Slipknot new album

ya'll heard the new single, All hope is gone and Psychosocial by slipknot?

what do ya'll think of it, personally, i don't really like all hope is gone. but psychosocial was not bad, it was very heavy.

Ohh, heard about it. Haven't checked it out yet. Hope it's as good as iowa.

As good as Iowa? Personally I find that they were trying to be too heavy in that album. Vol. 3 is a lot better. A lot of good songs came out from that album.

I love all three of their previous album. Each of them had its own character and sound. Looking forward to this fourth one

Love the drumming on all hope is gone, but overall song not so good. Can't compare to their older stuff.

i just listened to 2 of their singles.
yeah. i think psychosocial is better than when all hope is gone.
they keep repeating the chorus for when all hope is gone.
other than that its nice work. cant wait for the release .

I think it's gonna be an awesome album.
Totally different direction compared to all the albums they have ever released.

Their new masks look freaking cool.
Especially Corey's. Look very...inexpressive...

I wander how is he going to pull it on live...

wah, slipknot!

started listening to them in '99 i think. ya, angsty n00b metal kid haha. loved iowa when it came out cos i thought it was so heavy and extreme that it would kill all the other pansy nu-metal bands (think slipknot were trying to transition away from nu-metal with iowa). since then i've realised that, yea, they were trying too hard on iowa, and they're not that extreme anyway.

lost interest in them over the years, subliminal verses was ok, but now i realise slipknot is just an ok metal band. great thing about them is that during the nu-metal heyday they were the gateway band for many kids (including me) to more underground/extreme bands.

Looks like Mike Thompson is attempting to come up with guitar solos which last longer than 10 secs. Not too bad an effort. But the song doesn't have the kind of energy they had.
