Can see what you are getting at...
Try not to exaggerate the 'ow' nasal on your vocals.. I know it's a certain UK style of singing.. but I can hear it is a deliberate attempt..
You have a good voice.. you don't need to try to sing in another person's style.. just be natural.. singing from the tummy..
The song needs some nice sweet strings, a nice minimalistic groove.. and some arrangement work..
Keep up the good work..
