AKA A Cappella is back for its eighth edition! Held from 24th – 25th September 2016, Singapore’s longest-running a cappella festival returns for our 20th anniversary, at Singapore Conference Hall where the first edition was held.
This year's festival features special guest Deke Sharon, vocal producer and music director of The Sing Off and the Pitch Perfect series. Often known as the “godfather of contemporary a cappella”, Deke is an acclaimed composer, arranger and coach of a cappella music.
Catch groups from various countries in the Asia-Pacific region duke it out for the title of the inaugural Asia-Pacific A Cappella Championship League (APACCL) champion on the 24th of September! This invite-only competition pits local champions from 6 countries up against one another on a stage judged by a highly esteemed panel that includes Deke Sharon himself.
The 25th of September features a closing gala concert showcase which includes performances by Singapore's very own Micappella, alongside various award-winning groups from the APACCL.
