Interesting stuff here. The Airpiano. Still prototype. Appears to trigger 3 octaves by 3 different distances from the "keyboard". The only problem I see at the current prototype phase is the sensitivity. The triggering appears a little slow. If it can be faster, it'll sell great!

Seems to work like the theremin, but i can imagine how hard it will be to play this air piano
May be akin to playing a fretless instrument, only much more tougher?

interesting.. but yeah the triggering is a bit too slow for playing real keyboard parts. it'll make a cool-looking midi trigger rather than a keyboard though.

this is definitely easier than playing a fretless instrument because the notes are discrete.
