ok,im a newbie, i got a real beat up pedal, its an ibanez od850. its no more of production from ibanez. the last time i check through the inetrnet, its manufacture in between 1978-1980 made in japan. had an maxon chip in it, heres my prob. its suppose to b a overdrive pedal, but somehow, it causes some kind of "delay" effect sound when i play it, and it sounds real muddy n low, was wonderin if anyone of u guys gt infor. on this pedal and is it worth it to get it repair and at where?? the last time i change the just the input jack at g.connection and it cost $70.00 bucks. so was wondering is it worth to get it repair since its a old pedal. Thnx for any advice guys..

haha it sure is a old pedal.....the paint are almost all scrapping off....old ibanez script logo..tats y my prob...

ciki, ask Randolf if he can help u restore/repair it. his nick in soft is embryo.

lots of mojo in that old OD, good luck.

thnx paulo, appreciate ur help, but do u have any idea hw it sounds like?? cos i had never hear the sound "properly" b4. but guess i gotta save up abit of cash b4 apporaching him..and the internet seems to have a very gd review abt the pedal. other than that cant find any more infor. other than its made between 1970s - 1980s..

definitely a light OD, good for boosting or cascading. hopefully its able to get back to rock again. i got a TS-808 thats dated early 1980s, by its serial number. sweet tones for boost.

The older OD850 is actually kinda different sounding from the later TS Series. I remember it sounding somewhat like a fuzz but milder. Must be a hand me down I suppose :)

Paul, how do you like your bareknuckle pups mate? Are those the high or medium output types? :)

Season's greetings folks! :) Email me if you have any enquiries at randolf@embryosongs.com

i'm not Paul but having come across the BK pickups, i must say that they dutifully deliver the claims- they better do because they aren't cheap...

Hey Randy, season greetings mate. Just like sub says, the BareKnuckle delivers the goods. Although the Warpig make is high output targetted for heavy rock/metal tones. In cleans, they are crystal clear. rolling off the tone knob, sounds like a sweet jazz blues pickup. very responsive.

When Samad of Lefthanded was in town, he tried my POT (Warpig equipped), he was very impressed by the whole package. Both guitar build and pickups.

this got me listening. could this be the first super high gain pickups that sounds equally lethal clean? hmm...

brother Paulo- did Samad hinted ditching his PRS for a POT in time to come maybe?

I did a session job 2 weeks back, for Brinal Chua's upcoming release. (A charity effort by him towards our Childrens Cancer Society) My POT-Warpig handled tonal changes from Chris Isaac-ish cleans - OD blues - OD slide - Grungy jangle OD rhythms - EVH-ish rhythms to Shred solos -- easy. In playback, it was cutting thru at the right frequencies. The cleans are superb.

hehe sub, Samad loved my POTs playability n sound. He picked up my axe and played it like it was made for him, on the fly.

Samad's PRS has a rare value. he managed to clinch the deal for the fixed bridge, cost ard $16k sing (early 90s) at an auction in london. he told me, that serial number value has multiplied quite a bit over the years now. i dont see him ditching that axe anytime soon.

woah ... can someone say rip off? GC does it again!

hi there. before we dismiss certain parties for some unbecoming charges, it's good to find out why the figure is such. there has been some discussions pertainign to a certain repair/ rectification job with 'extravagant' prices but it really depends on many factors before being conclusive.

well, i cant say have i been ripped or watever since i don know wats the market price like. but all it did just change the input jack, he say he need to check blah blah, and if need, gotto change parts, but all i can see is just a new input jack and its damn tite! like im gg to tear it apart when i pull out my cable! haha... so for the price, emn.... i d uno..
