HEY THERE.
Anyone is experienced using adobe audition 3?
Okay. I have an electronic drum, TD-6V.
Its connected through MIDI to USB.
I have tried it in Sony Acid 7.0 and it is detected and able to record.
But sony acid 7.0 do not have much effects and options as adobe audition.
But somehow, when i reocrd track, the drums are not record and not detected.

Anyone know how should i edit the settings so that it is able to record?

Help

If your drums are detected as a MIDI device,

1) GO TO Insert > MIDI track ( alt+M )
2) The Track 2 should be converted into a blue MIDI track
3) Click on the SEQUENCER button on the MIDI track
4) A new window should open and your drums, if correctly detected, should either appear under the VSTi menu in the current window or when you click the last button (MIDI devices) at the top-right corner, under input in the pop-up that appears.
5) Arm your track for recording in the MIDI window, select the MIDI track for LIVE MONITORING in the main window and press record in the main window to record the midi drums.

Hope that helps.

HEY! Thanks.
Its really helped me. i can record now.
But one problem, how come the drums sounds abit fake.
Fake as in, it does not sound like the acoustic drum set kind.
Is there an option to like change the drums settings to maybe like a acoustic sound?

Yeah and one more thing, how come there is no soundwaves shown at the midi track that turned blue.

Thanks alot. ;D

HEY sorry!
I faced one more problem.
Theres like a one second delay when i hit the drums and i hear it from the computer's speaker.

Please help me!
Thankssssssssss!

Help

-The drum sound solely depends on the drumset, if you want to modify it to get more realistic sounds i suggest getting a sampling VST program like Addictive Drums ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L03GHPWarpc&feature=related ) and using your drum sets midi input through that VST.

-The lag is inherit in your computer if it lacks the processing power, try using bitrate modifier such as ASIOA4ALL (http://www.asio4all.com/) to reduce the output bitrate and remove this lag.

-There are no sound waves in the MIDI track because it is MIDI and it does not deal with real time waves, but you can export your recordings by bouncing the MIDI input to a stereo track and edit the waveforms from there.
