bro.. i got something to say about silvertone guitars..
i bought a silvertone ss-11 revolver two years back..
my cuz bought it a week later (one week before christmas, promo price, 200 bucks package)
well.. my guitar was perfect for me.. totally value for money..
i've tried squiers, ltds, gio ibanez, etc etc..
i realized that my silvertone was of a superior quality..
BUT.. i tried my cousin's silvertone.. they're worlds apart..
his had a sloppy finish, and simply horrid feel..
both are extreme ends, i know..
but the point im trying to make is, just try it out for yourself..
and if you're willing, purchase it..
i was quite shocked when i realized our guitars, despite the same model and brand name, played totally differently..
and btw.. i didnt maintain my guitar properly..
and sooner or later my bridge and neck pickup kinda went off on me..
haha.. but.. i think its some wiring problem..
just ignore the last part -_-

instruments in a starter kit price bracket- please expect different QC levels between units, even if they are of the same make/ model.

Hmm..... since Timbre strats has surprised lots of us with its quality and how it even rivals MIM Fender Strats, how about a review of the said guitar?

Swee Lee is selling many made in China Epiphones. So most probably some of you had tried or even owned it. How is it? The feel? The worksmenship of the guitar? The pickups/sound? is it cannot make it kind? I heard many many stories about china guitars. Dunt know want to buy it or not man. And i know for sure the resale value is really bad. Thank you

its really okay actually..
mine is an Epi Faded SG..
workmanship is good.. some slight problem with the pickup selector but that was easily mended..
i just love the tone of it man..
never regretted the purchase..
the bottom line is..
you have to try it.. and if u like it, get it!
resale value obviously aint good (people's mindset you know?)..
and one more thing.. certain models somehow are of better quality than others..
faded sg and les paul ultra are some of the better ones..
:D just my two cents

the brand name + country of origin association sometimes cloud the better judgement of buyers. unlike the epiphone situation, people aren't too critical of the indonesian Ibanez which are more available today.

Hi can i know anyone had try a PRS Paul Allender ??? or have a review for this guitar ?

Would like to know how this guitar fare , can someone pls help :D

Thks !!!

I have a PRS SE PA :D it is very good soundwise, nice cleans and can handle gain well. sound aside, the quality of the guitar is very good, nice finish leveled frets etc etc but the gold wears off pretty fast.especially on the tuning pegs. and one more thing, there seems to be some funny buzz coming from the headstock area when i play the note D-Eb . some resonance thing. not a major problem but it irks me.

Hi soyzabean , thks for your advice anyway i had juzt brought this PRS SE PA already . Hmmm gold wears off very fast , juzt wondering wat can we do to prevent that.

soyzabean juzt a curious question , once the gold fade off the pegs is it silver in colour ??? Does the gold colour in headstock also fade off ??? 8O

Thks :D
