Hey guys , i have a question here ..
if i plug my acoustic guitar into an electric amp ..
will i damage the pickup of my acoustic guitar ?
or damage the electric amp ?
heard people saying .. the frequency is different

Hi,

It will not hurt either the acoustic guitar or the electric guitar amp. Only thing is that it won't sound as good as a dedicated acoustic amp.

Only if you plug it into a bass amp... The difference between an electric and acoustic amp is probably only the tone. I plug in my acoustic (with a Seymour Duncan soundhole pickup) into my electric guitar amplifier and the only thing is that I have to increase the volume, and it sounds like a Les Paul with P90s! I don't think there'll be any damage to the amp.

Some people plug acoustics into guitar amps....for example, dumble overtones.:P

The only difference is probably the frequency response of the speaker and the tone, no fear of damage at all.

Same goes for plugging a guitar into a bass amp.
Or a bass into a guitar amp.(It may sound deficient, but there won't be any damage as long as you exercise common sense and driver excursion limits.)

thx for giving oppinion ..
but i heard ppl saying if bass plug into an electric amp
the amp will spoil .. because the amp cant produce such a low tone
