Acoustic Guitars: Is there a quality difference with price?

I have noticed that its usually not really that necessary to invest in an expensive ~$800(i think that's already expensive for an acoustic) guitar. I have had a 100 dollar Fina Acoustic guitar from Fina and for some reason it feels and sounds better than some other $500 guitars I saw at maestro.

So honestly is an expensive acoustic guitar worth it?

But then again maybe I'm too attached to my cheap guitar that my ears r biased

It is possible that your ears are indeed biased and I'm not joking. Being more acquainted with your guitar, such as how it sounds, feels and reacts to your playing dynamics, when you try out new guitars they may seem a little strange because you're too familiar with your guitar. It takes time to develop your hearing and adjust to the subtleties in sound frequencies for example but once you do, you're not likely to go back to your less expensive guitars especially within this price range. For expensive guitars say an $8k vs a $10k acoustic, the difference may be more of bling factor than feel or tone.

Anyway, I daresay that if you bring your Fina to maestro and A/B it on the spot with those $500 guitars, the difference should be very apparent.

you get what you pay for...

if cheap guitars sound as good as more expensive ones...

sheryl crow would be using a fina? 8O
