wow that's nice! clean sia! how did you make the backing track? would like to learn how to make backing tracks.

asdf: Hmmm... Where do i start... Well i'll just give you a description of how it's done. I start by doing a rough bass track. Followed by computer synthesized drums, i.e EzDrummer or for this case, Addictive Drums. Once the drums are down, I usually re-record bass again. Following that would be rhythm guitars, synth, etc. I would then EQ them to make sure it sounds good before i lay down my lead track.

My setup? Cakewalk Sonar 8.0. EzDrummer and Addictive Drums VSTi and some other bundled synth stuff that comes with Sonar. Guitars and bass go through Line 6 UX2 into POD Farm. Hope this helps...

how long did you take to make the backing track from start to end?

Likui: Breakdown... 2 days to program drums and refine... 1 day to lay down bass, rhythm guitars and keyboards... another 2 weeks to really refine the sound (EQ and mixing) before i lay down the lead track.
