Even if you had an eventide , it would be quite a task to figure it out . but during that time . I can't really remember the specific model. so sorry about that.

simple, try this

chain:
guitar -> od/distortion -> volume pedal -> delay pedal -> amp

*set the delay for a long delay time (400ms-600ms), loud repeat volume, with about 3 repeats.

*use some medium overdrive or distortion, play a nice open sus chord.

*sweep the volume pedal from its silent position to its loudest position slowly. fading in and out like waves rippling against the shore.

that should give you a huge wave-like sound.

if you dont have a volume pedal, just roll the volume knob on your guitar up and down with your pinky.
