A purist's pedalboard... Enough?

sometimes all it takes is going that extra notch. i brought the amp head and cabs to shows and we take mere 10 minutes to nail our tones. i guess, performing in singapore, we have the challenge of inconsistencies in our tones. but, in our neighbouring countries, like japan, the practice studios only provide musicians with PA systems and drumkits. amps, im so sorry, they bring in themselves. the effort the japanese put in although some of them are weekend musicians.

That's the beauty of other countries. I would really love to get nice amps and stuff - then bring it along to a gig - my tone is carried with me!

However - its not the Sg way - and many studios are inaccessible + cramped with their own equipment so carrying in another cab + head? Woah...

It would be pretty rad to have an empty room for jamming purposes... do you know of any?

Although in keeping tones as constant as possible whichever amp you use, digital pedals reign in that respect, analogs are preferred to me because they bring out the best of the amp. Most studios I frequent have good amps, anyway .

That's true - digital would be the most convenient...

But man, digital fuzz? Er...

hmm, an empty room? i have not known anybody as yet whom would rent out a room for practice session. i guess the owner would have to spend a lot to make it acoustically-friendly for musicians alike. anyway, points i had mentioned need not be anyone's preference of thoughts. just my humble 5-cents opinions and such. or do i owe anyone coffee? :)
