Well seeing as its a JS2400, yes it probably is THE Original EDGE. Which means you should grab it ASAP if you want IMHO the best floating trem available out there.

Man, i think we're all reading too much into this bridge thing. As it was mentioned, Gotoh Floyd is the most reliable, etc etc. I can't say for sure as i don't use trems, not even the Fender vintage ones. I normally swap them out for a hardtail. But in this case, get a guitar you like. Don't like the trem? Change to a Gotoh one!

doesn't really work that way. Each trem has it's own dimension. While Gotoh is compatible with the OFR, and I believe Edge also is.. the rest are of different size. So if your's is not compatible, you'll have to consider re-routing the wood, which is not easy.
