from what i see, screamevent is a DIY event group.
i mean, if this were to be a so called company,
shouldnt they be doin everything 100% for the bands?
but what i see is that they are asking people for help.
and i doubt that they get support from the media or commercial body.
practically, people have been helping out with whatever it is.
As an event group, which dares to step up and organise
a punk fest for thier first time without much knowledge,
yet humble enough to seek help from people,
is pretty DIY to me. (even the poster is DIY)
well i might be wrong, but thats my perception of this event group.

Yeap yeap....looks ok diy to me...although not tasteful, which they admitted to not being artistic yea hehee ;-)...ppl have to start sumwhere...
Juz like the many many groups of young kids which are starting out to organize shows...and not forgetting those who has been in this for a while lah...heh
But maybe not the spot-on choice for the background pics of poster....
Punks aren't all abt mohawks/spikes/studded jackets/bondage pants/boots etc...
Yea, casualties and exploited are iconic punks but a neutral looking background/band pics etc would be more tasteful i believe...and also since there's a varied genre of punk bands playing...
Juz my two cents worth...

fyi, rental rates are getting higher. cut the organizers some slack.

So sorry that we minus decided to pull out of the gig..
The tix is way way too expensive and we cant afford to play in an expensive gigs for your info..sorry but thats the way punk goes..

promotions has already began last week...

3) maybe we are too new in the scene itself but firstly. tickets price is $10 bucks
you guys complaint and complaint.. it's ok, we low down the price till we have to fork out our own money to pay everything

is this how the punk scene works?
we said and said that this is not just a normal punk gig
1) the venue is huge
2) everyband have been advice to do a special set
3) there's no so called" im punk , you're not so f**k off" attitude
