The daisy chain is the extension (on the picture, it's a wire with extra heads) so you can use the adaptor to power more than one pedal. Usually you will have enough power to power a few, it depends on the sum of the amperes each pedal draws. for simplicity, just get a 1-Spot and the corresponding daisy chain.

If you're still unsure, just drop down at Guitar 77 and ask the sales guy about the 1 Spot adaptor and daisy chain. It should be on display.

yeah was shocked when i went to see my fren buy it too...i think i'm correct about the 5 daisy chains...

and yes its $50...save up and get it :D really useful..

one 9V batt is prolly 3 bucks.

especially with digital pedals which eat batteries think of the money you will save in the long run. not to mention the hassle of changing batteries.

i got 1 spot but i didnt get the 1 spot daisy chain, i bought another daisy chain for $6 from davis instead

yes it does. get the visual sound dasiy chain too lah. quality guaranteed. u noe something's not right when u pay 1/3 the price for it. like patch cables too :P

I prefer the rechargable batteries route.

Dont like too many cables, pedal boards are usually messy enuf.

Those really high capacity 1700mhA ones are only 4 dollars plus at sim lim each.

And! Lastly for you tone freaks out there, it eliminates the possiblity of the 60hz power supply hum. Not saying one spot is bad, just offering an alternative.

Hmm.

Allow me to throw out some questions:

Are rechargable batteries recommended for pedals?

What about alternative power sources like the Dunlop DC-brick, as in are they suitable for boss / danelectro / behringer pedals?

Has anyone encountered a LONG-TERM FAVOURABLE experience with those dodgy Sim Lim tower power adaptors? So far I've only heard the bad stuff.

Those tweakable adapters that you can get not only at sim lim but also at your local hardware stores are rather dangerous to use. Most don't provide current configurations and may lead to frying your circuits. If you really want to go with the tweakables, i suggest u look around carefully and ensure that the adaptor gives you the proper current rating.

correction, 280mAh, means it got more capacity to tahan longer on a single charge compared to a normal battery at 200mAh
