$99 Guitar?

Hi, i dont play guitar but may start. Just a question. 2 days ago i was walking around the penisula Shopping centre basement, and i came across the shop called guitar 77. they were having some sort of clearance sale i think, and there was this Greg benett electric guitar going for $99. What could be the possible reasons for an electric guitar going so cheap? Just Curious and need help with buying. Thanks!

they are clearing stock, bought a 5 string bass at 99 bucks as well, no problems whatsoever.

wa. is it reccomended, to get something like that? cos actually i wanted to pick up bass, but still try guitar=P

i was eye-ing that guitar for quite some time.
but i didn't buy it.
coz im saving every dollar from my allowance for sales from any guitar shops.
and also, i dont really have a good reason to buy that guitar

with the guitar, you still need an amplifier and stuff......... so the final pricetag wouldnt be just 99 bucks
