$300 on a wah?

Hey people! I have $300 to spend on a wah, i want something that is deep and throaty yet aggressive and can sound nice both clean and driven. I would like something not piercing on clean and driven, it must cut through the mix and the sweep must be heard!

Abit demanding, but its a long shot, was considering the 535Q

RMC Wizard Wah.

The badhorsie i had, sounded like the name. An dying horse, something i won't miss.

Or you could pickup a Vox wah and get it modded by the several different techs here in sg.

Area 51's a good choice.

If you're not too traditional, abit pricey, but the zvex wah probe is mad cool and fun.

Forgot to mention this.

A Budda Wah or the new MXR CAE (okay not so new anymore) Wah are both pretty decent as well.

What mods can be done? Could controls be added?(sorry, im a versatility guy haha!)

How about the RMC stuff?

Was thinking about the area 51, can put that kind of money in but hoping i wont need to go there haha! Need money for a new drumset too haha!

area 51. u wont regret it. i've tried the picture wah too. its very similiar to the area 51, but area 51 there are optional add ons like growl and sweep knobs..

Have u tried Vox Big Bad Wah?...very cool sounding wah with tweaking capabilities.
I believed it's about $260 at City Music

well lets see... I've owned about 7 wahs in my lifetime including the likes of a Budda, RMC, various crybabies and others i cant even remember.

And I still ended up going back to the Vox V847.

Modded of course :)

yeah modded v847 ftw!!
u can put voicing controls. mine has it.
pretty versatile and it saves u some money:)

kahuna, dont forget to check out the wilson wahs. forgot to mention that. i would pick this had i not got an area 51. they are reasonably priced and have a wide a array of choice, and they also have lots of added features like growl and quack controls and whatnot.

oh and truebypass and has the fuzz friendly buffer. pretty damn sick

i wonder if that man still takes in modding of pedals... his pedal seems to be a rage, so i think he very busy. will email him again. Attracted to what ized described on the v847 in the other wah thread, the old one.
