well to me simple plan at least have that "rock-ish" sound whereas good charlotte has really changed their concept. not that i know what was their original concept is. in fact, i heard that their new song is a dance type of song. the type of song u can hear at nightclubs.

Wahaha...if that's true, they've probably lost that last bit of credibility as a punk band...
