2008 Mid-year Swee Lee Sale: What did you get?

As above. Do tell us all what you got from the Swee Lee sale! Pictures would be a plus. I know some of our softies here scored awesome deals

I'll start the ball rolling, I bought a Pearl boom cymbal stand, a DB-60 and a pair of Tama Japanese Oak sticks.

Wanted to get the HH Sound Control ride, but only its very gorgeous crash stood for me so I decided against it. 13" Groove/Manhattan Jazz/Fierce Hats all snapped up. Another reason why I decided against getting cymbals is that I was quite disappointed at how the cymbals were treated. Was a huge huge mess (Cymbals piled on top of each other) and was also quite a turn off to search through. When I dropped by SL on Thursday, all the cymbals were arranged very neatly and orderly, in different size categories as well.

That said, I'll be heading down again. Wanted to grab a whole lot more but I didn't really need them, like sticks and skins.

And also, it was nice to meet Spinninsticks and Frummer (finally), haha. It was a pleasure. Also saw other familiar faces from Soft, saw Han Quan from Allura as well.

I went, but actually found nothing which I need. Can't bear to leave empty-handed what, so bought a pair of Vic Firths 7A. LOL.

When I left at 2ish, there were still a good number of cymbals left.

Some items to check out (if they interest you, they did interest quite a fair bit) 18" Paiste 2002 Flat ride, Paiste Innovation Hats, Symphonic cymbals (which IMHO would make very nice but fairly loud hats/crash-rides,lol), Carmine Appice Vintage Rock ride, some funky 23" ride, and more.

I'm heading back tmr to grab more sticks and possibly the Powerstroke 3 which I was seriously considering getting. Ugh.

im actually pretty satisfied with what i got, even tho just one piece...
i got 17" HHXtreme crash - (luckly it was from the cymbal tree so it wasnt in the pile of metal that was on the floor)
i saw a HH jazz ride which i was gonna get, but i'd save up to get the HH RBDR and HHX Stage Hat...

Yeah i was with him...the big haul is his la! I wanted to get wirebrushes...not the steve gadd siggies...the vicfirth purple 1 was grabbed b4 me..and the white 1...was between me and an acquantaince...so aiyah let him have it....abit regret now haha!but oh well...i did a good deed...

Hahah yea, pretty huge hoot. Frummer and myself was pretty surprised that the queue wasn't that long afterall and I still managed to get hold of the elims ! *droools* Elims wasn't part of the plan, but the moment I saw 'em, I just lost control :-D
