2 bridge pickups in a guitar?

Hi i am wondering if you can have 2 bridge pickups in a guitar

AND

the one is the neck position still sounding like it would in the bridge pickup slot



Cos for certian songs i have no nid for the neck but i like to have 2 diff bridge pickups for tonal choice.Saves me the trouble of getting 2 guitars haha.

Nope.

The main reason why the neck pickup sounds like a neck pickup.. is the position. Not so much the pickup design.

so tt meaning to say even if you take say....a X2N and place in the neck pickup slot in the guitar but wired in the way you would in a bridge pickup, it would still sound like a neck pickup?

kind of wondering why it cant be done cos it like jus shifting the pickups in the guitar pickup slots....unless it has something to do with the wiring??

only way possible of cos is to put 2 different single coils into a humbucker slot.
then wire accordingly with the pick selector.

Nothing to do with the wiring - its all about physical placement of the pickups.

You can do what everdying suggests - squeeze 2 single coil sized pickups into a humbucker slot (your bridge slot) so you can have 2 bridge tones.... google Dimarzio Multibucker.

Yeah, it's the physical position of the pickup that's important...that's why I decided to put a hotrails as near the bridge position as possible XD

oh damn it i wanna to have a 2 humbuckers. a Dimarzio Dual Sound and a X2N.
