This will be fun. A good chance for bands to polish their stage presence before going on to the big stage. Come on down and meet fellow SOFTies!
 
Yes indeed – It does Polish Up Stage Presence over time through the active & regular Participation ( playing at SOFT’s Bands Collective Monthly Gigs) as it boost one ‘s Self Confidence Level ..and thus the Band as a whole ( this is especially true) for Hobbyiest band – who wants to gain Exposure – playing right in front of a crowd

I actually went through these… and I was dead scared when I 1st have to play in front of People (especially when you know they are Musicians here watching me play and they are not just a Lay-Man) because – I’m afraid to make Mistakes in front of them, and I am afraid they will know and will laugh at me here..truly..

I had this feeling with me for some time ( even after a few gig eg 3 to 4 times) - - and the more I can make mistakes (cause I am scared) - -- as I get to know these people/musicians after a while – I find them very supportive and always encouraging me – I became Bolder, I become more thickskin – and then – I realize – I am Playing with Feel this time round with my Bands …..and we improve as a Band ( a Personal as well as a Band Development as a Whole) – and I find it so beneficial to me.

Today – I cant wait to jump up and Play, mistake mistake lol – never mind (as we are all humans), but one thing I learn again here – as I began to play more often with my Bands in Gigs - - (and as we reherse once a week) – We learn to cover our each other mistakes – one thing I learn – Just Don’t stall or stop playing – Finished the entire song…..

And I found it FUN and I am ENJOYING myself nowadays in Gigs like these ….

So – Softies, Join us – and Lets Enjoy and Improve Ourselves Altogether – while having great fun in these Soft’s Band’s Collective Monthly Meetup…

It is all for a Good Cause…. Bands are not here to Compete, but are here to Share - and STAY !

PS - YES - We will Get The Big Big Stage ... When WE " Altogether As Bands Collective Singapore" are READY in the future....

Yes - If the bands really have something on
we wont wanna pressurise the Bands (as we want it be be a FUN THINGY) - BUT - Please INFORM US EARLIER - if the Chosen Bands are unable to play on the SPECIFIC DATE) so as to enable us to managed better here.

It is also for this Specific Reason - why we shall always try our best to give ( ADVANCE NOTICES OF MEETUP DATE AND TIME & VENUE ) here. As in this case ... a month in advance.

Of course Bands can Opp out of Playing (as the Committee will do the Selection of Bands to be playing) once they received our NOTICES, However - If a Band Opp out many a time - then there is really no point for the Band to be with Soft's Bands Collective so to say...

We will be Very Reasonable for sure of course. - Ultimately we want the Bands to have Fun & Play At The Meetup ( when Selected and Given The Slot) .

I heard from our Moderator RD(Eric)...some are not 'ready' for a showcase among us softies and wanted to withdraw. Hey...don't have to panic, worry, or even stressed up.

We made all these for our fellow softies. Whack lah...no one is gonna stop you. If we laugh...we laugh together of our silliness and that's fine. The objective is to showcase some talent and at the same time a platform for all and best of all to have fun.

You'll get to meet the Legendary Farid Gregory Long(aka fgl) of Retro Groove and of course..ehem...me the wayang guitarist of Tetragrammaton and many more. Our Chairman Mr.James will be there together with the friendliest Moderator, Killer drummer, Best organizer Mr. Eric himself.

This is the 1st and we look forward for many more monthly events to come.

So...see you there!

It gives me Great Pleasure to formerly introduce a NEW Member of SBCS - - from Malaysia KL - The Band Name is - “ SPARTUCK “ who had taken the initiative Pming us (as we exchange our conversation here on – how the Band will be able to play here ).


SPARTUCK wanna utilise this very opportunity for the kind of Music they are playing as they feel that Singapore is a great place to promote Freash Music (and especially through SBCS now) – and they believe that through SBCS it could help ( as time pass) for people here to accept Freash vibes and music and thus they feels that this is good overall for the Community here

SPARTUCK ( commit to comes) upon given a slot on a Weekend – shall (at their own expense come to Singapore from KL and arrange for their very own accommodation here in Singapore) just to be with us and join us all at our SBCS Band’s Meetup – when called upon ( preferable once every 2 months ) …

I see this as a great example of - Dedication, Spirit and most of all Enthusiam displayed - towards MUSIC as a whole.

We hereby warmly WELCOME “ SPARTUCK “ into Soft’s Bands Collective Singapore – as the “ 1st Foreign Band “ who would be joining us all at SBCS..
