1Spot v.s Godlyke

Hi guys,

Since i'm going into analog pedals now, i was reading about Power Supplies and i came across a few such as Voodoo Lab, 1Spot by VS and Godlyke.

Being Voodoo Lab's are quite pricey, so i have to make a decision between 1Spot or Godlyke.

I've never heard anything from Godlyke but i've heard that 1Spot's have a certain Hum towards it?
Any thoughts to which is better?

Both 1Spot and Godlyke are relatively quiet but it really depends on the mains supply you're getting in the first place. I use both adapters and the Godlyke did help with a certain combination of pedals that was producing a high-pitched hum, it was noticeably reduced compared to the 1Spot. But that's a rare case and all other times there's been no difference between the two.

Even among 1Spots some people say they get hum with certain pedals, some people say no noise at all. Everything in your signal chain from the AC power to pickups to individual pedals (especially pedals with opposite polarity / grounding) will affect it. But whatever the case, for the price both are excellent products until you feel the need for a isolated power supply like the Voodoo Lab PP2+.

If you use the Visual Sound Onespot, make sure the daisy chain you use with it is also made by Visual Sound. It's a terribly fussy adapter, if you ask me. I used a high-quality daisy chain from TYMC with my Onespot and it gave me a big dose of problems (mostly noise issues). Eventually sold the Onespot because I couldn't obtain the VS daisy chain (shops were out of stock) and switched to a Biyang adapter which was problem-free :).

used to use the vs chain and onespot too, the hum is reduced after i switch to biyang adapter.
think ts might want to consider a biyang adapter.
