The Beats Society yo-yos was cussed at even before they came on. The crowd became increasingly irritated during their performances and everyone around me wasn't even bothered as they were all chatting among themselves.
I gotta be honest.
Beats Society quality of Hip Hop is mundane and unexciting. With repetitive beats and nothing new to offer, they seriously have got to have something interesting to prove their worth.
Heck I was clueless on what the hell the dancers were doing on stage. One of the audience commented that they look like 3 clowns in oversize shirts doing circus moves.
To the rappers especially the one in the hoodie, if you're gonna dress up with the 'bling-bling' and whatever trendy, do sound as good as you look.
Anyways, Akon's concert was short but I kind of enjoyed myself nonetheless despite the embarassment by BS. (No, I don't mean BullShit; but it could work in the same context though.)

I really pity the guy, he had like 17 interviews with the press back to back. Towards the end he looked positively quite shack. Sat in the limo with him and we had to clear traffic to get his butt into the marquee.
all in all: The concert was quite happening. I actually enjoyed myself despite my reservations on hiphop/rnb. Will have some youtubes up soon for everyone. I kinda got to check which ones I can put up though.
Oh and amaka got drunk btw.

and it can't be Koncert because their contract strictly stipulates "Smack that party" as the official title of the shows in his tour

i was looking from backstage and we could hear the booing of Beats Society rather loud. one mat salleh from the crowd screamed: "THAT AINT HIPHOP, THAT AINT RAP, TATS A CIRCUS ACT!!" kinda rhymes. I dunno why is there so much Beat Society hating anyway.
Agreed tat Akon is exhausted, he said he flew in the morning 2 Singapore and gotta flow out by 2moro or by evening time

I'd have prefer Richard J performing solo instead with Beats Society. He's the only one so far that night with the right stage presence and sounds.
