11-piece kit.

how feasible and practical is it actually? i just bought a second-hand kit for possible teaching purposes but i'm tempted to expand my kit into a dual-bass drum, 11-piece kit just for the kicks. i don't have enough cymbals though, which is sad. but all in due time. comments please on the idea of an 11-piece kit.

I have a Pearl Target + Pearl Forum hybrid; but it had two 12" toms so I only used one... then I ended up removing the second bass because it was so troublesome... and then I removed the 13" tom because I wasn't really using it and it was in the way... and now ends up I'm just using the floor tom from the Forum.

haha i see..i'm thinking of the spare 12 and 13" toms for a different tuning. like weird-sounding timbales. and the 2nd snare as my jazz snare and one as my rock snare. but i'm not sure if i'd really use it much. lol.

Probably not. It's a pain in the ass to manage a big kit, seriously. A 2-up-2-down is enough for me, and I don't mind a smaller one when I'm not messing around the kit for fun.

Seriously I think - a 11pcs Kit is too much liao. My 1st Kit is a Yamaha Stage Custom and it's 11pcs - looks killer (but me not killer of course)......

Time pass and I found that - I actually dont need a 11pcs Kit...not really practical for me - - I found that a 6 to 7pcs Kit is what most of the time - I will really be using when drumming...but it does look nice lah - like killer like that.

You want? Hahahaha !
