Saw them being listed in citymusic's website. Decent range of models and very close to the USA internet prices. Really great for all musicians out there who want more variety. Hmm what next Fender? Wild guess cos Hamer, Ovation, Charvel all belong to FMIC which is Fender's parent company.

Would be great if Citymusic took over dealership of FMIC stuff, we might actually be able to buy Fender locally again at proper prices.

Most places selling fenders at reasonable prices already. Wish more variety were available though, especially the amps. Don't see the mustang line brought in. Not much hot rod amps to choose from either

They'd better (swee lee). Considering how many different local stores are under cutting them, its amazing that they're doing as well as they are. Especially with they're reputation of being over priced. Not always true of course but its been that way for a while now especially since the age of the internet. It also dosen't help putting a price tag on your guitars 20+% above the actual price, hoping that the discount would wow the consumers into buying. Price tag might actually turn away customers before they even approach the sales staff. Especially when lots of people already know the aproximate prices of the items involved elsewhere.

Local stores are not undercutting them. It's just that Swee Lee is way overcharging their products. I guess they can get away with it last time because they are the sole distributor of some major brands, like Gibson, Epiphone, Fender USA/Mexico and Ibanez. Remember those days when Swee Lee had a year-end clearance sale and people actually queued overnight? Fortunately those days are long gone, thanks to online stores and retailers bringing in parallel imports, which are sold at "market prices". I assume Swee Lee is still in business today because their core business is export and regional distribution, not so much on retail.
