Hi, I'm 18 yrs old. I've just finished O's and I'm now waiting to enter poly. I want to take up drums, but i was wondering if Yamaha is the best way for me to go. I would prefer having a private class 'cause I believe group lessons won't be as effective. any ideas?

there are a few drumming schools in Singapore.

1) My Drum School (MDS)
2) Music Lab

and of cos some more others. Try googling.

Drumming is fun,but its addictive.

To me and my friends, drumming is the most addictive thing as it as addictive as cocaine, once you start drumming, and you are really passionate about it, there is no end to it. And you would have to own a good pair of drum stick, prefably vic firth or pro mark and a practise pad.
My drum school is a christian based drum school which i am currently attending is a very good drum school.

Bro Eric,

U don't teach meh?

Zach yes I teach sure why not ? – (mine teaching is a very A Specialise Aspect Of Drumming – I teach you Techiniques so you can get many many GFs.

This is also a kind of – “ Drumming Technique ”. but is not taught in any Music School – my book coming out soon – it’s going to be a Hot-Seller and its called “How To Flirt, And Get A lot Of Chicks Through Drumming” ….. and anyway – this book is good as it Promote “Very Very Social Activities” and encourage more to take up Drummings…not published yet…

But – if you want me to teach Drumming – as in Drumming – than – You wont get a lot of chicks – even after finishing reading my whole book…Kekekkeeke

For you Zach – free personal lessons ..Whahahahaha !

Or you can self learn (just like me), but you're gonna need to have drummer friends so that they can help you correct any bad techniques that you have

Speaking of which, any kind drummer can take me in for a free 30min quick crash course?? I need to correct some bad techniques and also further up my pedalwork on the bass drum. Im already having problems saving up for a practice pad. 2 years into drumming and no practice pad xD

PM me if there's anyone willing to teach me =)

And you would need an electronic drum set to learn fast and it would cost as little as 1k for the yamaha dtxplorer or a good one such as roland td-4k which i own one and it gives alot of good practise functions - $2000 or roland td-9kx which is 4000.

Cocaine is addictive because the high you get is temporary hence them folks keep doing lines every half hour or so. The song Cocaine by Eric Clapton is as addictive as well.

Drumming...
well once you start hitting, you're 'snared'.

Group lessons are not entirely bad la. You get to make friends, then can spot out each others mistake. Most important thing is you laugh at each others mistakes. Hahaha...
