Websites still sell discontinued products if they still have them in stock, I just wonder whether the older folks have seen this model before

It is a discontinued LE model i guess.

its not the first epi LP to have a floyd, the gothic LP a few yrs ago had a floyd option.
and as far back as early 80s there were already gibson LP's with kahlers / floyds.
