Sustainer Driver Question

1) How does the different PU configuration for sustainer sound?
e.g. H-H and H-S-S
2) Can the sustainer driver also work like a pickup?

the sustainer IS a pickup. it still does the picking up of string vibrations and transforming it into sound.

The sustainer doubles up as pup (or is it the other way around ) anyways ...its does sustain good but pretty average as a pup !!



So if you have a H H config ... use the sustainer coupled with a single pup of choise looking like a hum set ya. So the sustainer goes off and the pup of choice comes alive ....the height of this pup must be lower than the sustainer tho ...or else the sustainer loses its power to drive ....

too expensive these guitars and too fanciful.

How I wish I had grabbed one of those regular strat looking sustainers last time during the yamaha sale. The current retrorocket i presume.

it sustains well. but i find it does add a bit of a delay to your sound when u play chords.

its not a nice analogous delay, it muddies up your sound goose, not very nice.

but its insane amount of sustain+ mud.
