Stuff bout a acoustic bass.

1. Is it safe to plug in a acoustic bass to a bass amp?
2. Re string use normal bass strings or special acoustic bass strings?

1. sure, no harm in plugging it into an electric amp. but you'll get an 'electric bass' sound. to get the full acostic sound, get an acostic amp.

2. There are acostic strings for sale, but i suppose you can use electric strings. perhaps you might want to try roundwound for a more mellow sound. :wink:

yeah ..

i think for acoustic basses they do have bronze bass strings to adapt to the acoustic properties for the bass ..

stainless steel or nickel strings may sound to sterile and bright for an acoustic bass .. so you may wanna try looking for bronze strings for the acoustic ..

flatwound strings will give that thumpy, acoustic tone too .. if that's what you're looking for ..
