Recommendation for V-shaped Guitars?

These two are pretty sweet. Price should be around 500 or so. Can't be sure. Perhaps you should check with Citymusic.

Sure you can. But it'll go koyak on you all the time, that's all. Are you perfectly sure you want a flying-V? You might wanna try some of the LTD models, they're pretty good value for money.

they're not that hard to play sitting down

I'd prefer it over my lap but when you position it like that, it tends to slip.
