Suarez....what a player! Not only is he skillful and unpredictable, his movement and workrate are also equally impressive. He was everywhere on the pitch today, chasing everything and always looking to create something. To me, MOM for this game is Suarez followed by Kuyt.

Carragher was lucky with a yellow card. But so was Rafael for his two footed lunge. A rush of blood for those two. However, the Oscar for leading actor in dramatic role goes to....Nani !!! For his beautiful assisted goal. For falling like a sack of potatoes and clutching his face after Gerrard tapped his shoulder. For shoving a guy with the stretcher (haha...first time I've seen this). And for his unforgettable and dramatic cry baby scene which was absolutely priceless! Even Rooney looked kind of embarrassed at Nani's crying.

If only King Kenny took over at the beginning of the season, who knows Pool could be in the top four by now (sigh...). Bah...curse that Hodgson and all his negativity. Anyway, it's a new beginning, a new rebuilding period, and the future is bright for the club. YNWA.

p.s. Another reason why Pool won today was because MU's star player, Howard Webb, did not play. ;)

all i can say is, the better team won. i was quite impressed with Carroll's cameo. 1st touch was a shot on target. Interesting.

How's Kuyt and Gerrard gonna fit into Dalglish's plans from now on?

Suarez, Carroll have already looked promising and Meireles looks just as steady if not more, than Gerrard in his current position.

Btw, anyone catching the Braga match? :D

After the Braga game, the conclusion is...Liverpool obviously lacks strength and depth in the squad. Some of the squad players are way way below par. Some shouldn't be at the club at all. Some belong in the lower division. Time for massive clear out of dead woods in the summer. Liverpool should GET RID of these clowns NOW.....pronto!

* Poulsen - Utterly hopeless and a waste of space. Is he even a footballer? He got Hodgson written all over him...mediocre. Wait, Hodgson paid 5 mil for him!
* Konchesky - Kicked out by Kenny and currently on loan in timbucktoo. Ditto above.
* Jovanovic - Can't believe he's paid 60k a week for not playing at all, not even in reserves! Rightly ignored by Kenny. He's a garbage of a player.
* N'gog - His game seems to be getting worse each time. Confidence issue? Anyway, he's a crap player who doesn't offer much. So get rid of.
* Spearing - Academy starlet for the future? Forget it! He's already 23 and still no progress. Cannot make it means cannot make it.

The jury is still out on these:

* Cole - Looks like he's a has-been. If he still doesn't improve and play like he used to, should get rid of him. He's sucking Liverpool dry with his crazy wages.
* Soto - Getting too old and slow. But still put in a good shift at times, like against Manyoo. Could be a decent backup CB. The cheap penalty he gave away last night was no excuse...really dumb.
* Maxi - A reliable squad player. But not a certain first XI if better players are brought in.
* Aquilani - On loan in Juventus but found a new lease of life. Obviously Italian football suits him better. Maybe he will thrive under Kenny, who knows? But provided he wants to come back.

Ok, rant over. :)

Ytd was really dumb. Braga kept most of the game within the liverpool half. Then they cut off my livestream just before first half end. Zz.

Gah. We better win 5-0 at anfield.

A good 0-2 win over Sunderland albeit a little lucky over the penalty. Still, a win is a win. Suarez...what a player! A bargain considering the price of world class players these days. This was the first time Suarez and Caroll played together, and their partnership showed glimpses of something great is going to happen. Anyway, the entire squad played with fighting spirit despite the disappointment of Europa exit. Well done, lads.

As for for King Kenny, he has definitely turned Liverpool completely around into a winning team. And he has done that despite the squad lacking in strength & depth, plus frequent injuries to key players.

Here's an interesting stats/table I managed to come across. This is how the league table is like between 9 January 2011 to 21 March 2011, the day Kenny Dalglish took over from the useless Hodgson till now.

Yep, results and the table don't lie. If FSG bought over Liverpool slightly earlier and invested in a few good players, and Kenny took over as club manager at the beginning of the season, Liverpool could be in the top four by now or even challenging for the title. Anyway, what's done is done. Only the future matters.

Next season, FSG is going to invest millions on some quality players, and with Kenny Dalglish and Steve Clark at the helm, things are gonna get really interesting.

:)

Liverpool has sacked Dalglish. What a pity as he should be given more time.

Anyway, I hope the board appoints Fabio Capello. He is a no-nonsense manager and a winner with a great track record. And every club he managed (bar the overrated England team...haha!) he won the league title. Plus he is now unemployed, so need not pay release fee and such. Watch this space! :)

Yep, dead alright. This section (especially EPL) used to be buzzing with "expert" commentaries and banters among rival fans nong nong time ago. Maybe fgl has abandoned Arsenal and is supporting Man City now! Anyway, if the media is to be believed, looks like Senor Roberto Martinez will be Pool's gaffer.

Matrinez coming up, he might be able to pull it off. Although they should probably think about doing something more with Bellamy.

Woohoo....we got Buck Rodgers of the 21st Century.

In all seriously, after reading more about him and watching some Swansea's footage, we may be on to something special here.

Rodgers may be an "unknown" manager. But if you have watched how Swansea play their football, you wouldn't believe that these players are among the cheapest and lowest paid in EPL. Because as a team, they played like a genuine top-4 contender, only finished in 11th due to very limited resources, talents and squad depth. His footballing philosophies, style and ethos matches that of Liverpool (attractive pass-and-move), but with a modern game approach and tactical influences from Barcelona. So with better players currently at Liverpool, plus the financial backing to buy more talent, he can be a success. But he needs time to rebuild so patience is the key.

This "nobody" manager may turned out to be like Mourinho or AVB of Porto, Klopp Of Dortmund, Rijkaard of Barcelona or even Benitez of Valencia. A young "no-brand" manager who sprung out of nowhere and conquered the league.
