Line 6 pod studio gx HELP!!!

After i plugged in the mic into the audio interface, it has a very low volume. Is there anyway to make it louder. My mic is an old mic which i dun even know what's the brand is.

So ill just get a XLR - TS 1/4 inch cable? Because i dunno whether im using an XLR - ts 1/4 inch cable or just an XLR 1/4 inch cable.

you missed the important part of the discussion : GX is not made for mic recording. your next new thread after you "force" record with 1/4" is "how do I reduce noise in my mic recording"

HAHA i tried force rec with it and tweaking the pre amp settings in the pod farm. The noise is nt very obvious only thing is that the mic is a bit bassy but i think ill have to play around with the pre amp settings thanks for ur help again!

=) if it's abit bassy ,then bring up the highs + the mids, then eq the lows off. should "pass" lah. gd luck!
