Greetings to all,
Some of you may know that the recent audition of Black Revelations 2011 has
caused some controversy in the metal community in Singapore.
Things are getting a little out of proportion and it's time to clear
the air before things get really out of hand.
The primary intention of the audition is for quality control. We wanted to
source out if there are solid upcoming bands, and be faithful to the sole
mission of Trippy Factory: To provide windows of opportunities for aspiring
local musicians, to nurture and bring them to greater heights.
The registration / audition fee is simply to cover Trippy Factory's cost which
includes renting of the Jam Studio and the meal allowances of the helpers
involved. There are costs involved for any kind of event, big or small. We seek
your understanding for this.
After all that has been said and done (or not), Trippy Factory has gone through
some serious reflection and understands that the scene has evolved.
Gig goers are now filled with massive amount of choices due to the advancement
in technology and the massive selection of medias. Some of our approaches could
have been improved and we are seriously looking into it.
Respect and appreciation goes to the faithful who gave us their precious
time to enlighten and direct us into another perspective.
For the rest, we seek your patience and understanding. Give us sometime, we'll
do better!
As of now, the show will still go on, but with a different strategy. We know
that it's time to evolve or Trippy Factory will longer be relevant.
