City Music presents “The Digital Realm of Music”
Session 2: The Recording Studio Home Made feat. Line 6 TonePort USB recording interface
Date: Saturday, 4 March 2006
Time: 3.00pm to 4.00pm
Venue: library@esplanade
Calling all vocalists, guitarists, bassists and keyboardists!!!
Ever hear your favorite song on radio and wished you could produce your own demo CDs of professional quality like what the pros do in their recording studio?
DRS (Digital Recording Systems) are the key to the answer. Digital recording equipment of today is packed full of innovative features and at smaller price tags as compared to its more expensive predecessors i.e. analog tape recorder which offered poor sound quality and limited features.
Everybody's talking about home studios and we are beginning to see a tremendous growth in the number of amateurs, hobbyists, students and home users producing records in the comfort of their own home. Aspiring musicians and music enthusiasts who dream of being music arranger, composer, sound engineer and producer can do so now with the aid of modern technology.
We'll explore with the audience the possibilities and ease of producing high quality audio recording at an amateur level but professional sound quality.
