I posted this on another forum following a suggestion by a member on how to shine/clean my frets. Thought I'd share this here. Heres some pics. Arranged in order...
Took me less than 20 mins to complete this. Remember to loosen your strings. Cost less that $2.00 for the roll of masking tape & ink eraser (only used about 1 feet of the tape!). In picture #4 you can see the difference between the 'polished' and the 'unpolished' fret.
Its suggested too that you can use a hard pencil eraser to rub off the gunk that has accumulated between the frets. And you'd not need to cover the fingerboard when doing this. It'll shine the frets as well... although I've not tried this.
Something more I learn. Cover the pickups when doing this so that eraser dust do not get into the gaps!
