This performance celebrates the debut CD release from Darren Moore Quintet. The title of the album, 'Isolation has it's advantages', represents of the positive aspects of isolation that manifest when one is in a new environment. Through isolation, new directions and ideas can be born free from previous preconceptions and offers the opportunity to reinvent.

This collection of music represents such a journey, whereby moving to Singapore three and a half years ago, Darren created an opportunity for himself to reinvent himself musically and compose new music drawing from his varied influences as a musician. The diversity of styles encompasses jazz, funk, free jazz, electronica, drum'n'bass, noise and free improv. The quintet features the most creative and talented jazz musicians in Singapore; Tim O'Dwyer (saxophone), Greg Lyons (saxophone), Andrew Lim (guitar), Tony Makarome (bass) and led by Darren Moore (drums).
