I received 2 guitars this year.
The first, the manufacturer handled the paperwork and the delivery arrangements.
The second, I arranged the overseas collection and local delivery via Fedex. Paperwork was a pain, but apart from completing certain forms and declaring accordingly on the various categories, I dont recall a section dedicated to CITES.

On matters subjected to CITES regulations, if you let a local authorized dealer/ distributor handle your special orders, there will be no issues. If it's a direct custom order for instance, the manufacturer will decline/ accept on cases-to-case basis, they will let you know before hand.
