battery life?

Hi!

I just took onwership of a bass guitar with active pickups running those 9V batteries. I know there is no on/off switch but the damn batteries keep dying every ten days or so. What gives?

Am i suppose to switch all the knobs to zero when not in use or something? Or is this normal?

Did you leave the cable plugged in after playing? Active pickups stop draining the batteries the moment the cable is plugged out. If you aren't already doing that, do it.
