Guitar Republicks is a guitar instrumental album started by jaybon(producer) in 2012.This album consist of the best new and veteran shredders from Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Greece and UK.
When the project started in 2012,the album title was given as Singapore Guitar Instrumental Compilation but was change to Guitar Republicks in 2013 to make it more universal by including guitar players from overseas. After a few months of auditioning and selection,the final 12 was confirmed. 8 guitar players from Singapore and the rest from Malaysia, Indonesia, Greece and UK.
It tool almost a year to record and finish up the whole album even though there is ups and down, the strength and beliefs in the producer makes it all worthwhile. After some discussion and dealings finally Warner Music Malaysia decides to offer a distribution contract for the album in its territory which is Malaysia, Sabah, Sarawak, Brunei and Singapore and will be sending the album to its other Warner music branches overseas. One of the main reason why Warner music decides to sell it is because guitar instrumental album usually have a longer life span then a singing album meaning it will sell although slow.
