5 Song EP

Hey guys,

Basically just finished recording a few songs in the studio. Quite a random bunch of songs, and a bit eclectic. But I've had them swirling in my head for awhile. It's sorta pop/rock, rock, grunge, southern rock...each song sounds different from the other. Was really depending on my mood for the day. No metal songs yet unfortunately as I've not found the right ppl to work with on that yet. Please let me know your thoughts.

Instruments a bit out of time.

Wasting Time
what's up with the vocals? it is pitched down like 5 tones?

World Turn
This one got potential. Get a power power guy singer to make it a rock rock song. or a girly girly to make it mtv song.

Hyphenated Symptom
Might want to gear this towards the country style. very catchy beats. add some steel guitar, harmonica and tambourine. oh, must have the country slang too! heehaarrr

Untitled
This raw song got potential to be a electronica/potishead kinda of mix.

Gone Wrong
This is the best recorded piece. hmm... how come this sound recording/mixing is so much better than the other tracks?

all in all, the tunes are ok. arrangement can be better. singer must train hard hard.

Hyphenated Symptom: Will try out some of your suggestions in the studio next time. We did think of steel guitar at the time, tambo might be a good addition

Untitled: We thought the strings was a nice touch.

Gone Wrong: Thanks. Not sure about the sound again, will double check. These tracks were all recorded in the same studio and mixed by the same guy. Once again, I must check my rip on my other tracks.

Basically these songs have not been mastered yet as well. Looking for a better singer for some of the tunes. But thanks for the comments, highly appreciated!

As for the Creative Commons project - Singapore is actually pushing this too. In Malaysia, this project is already in full gear that allows artists to actually legally share their music for free with others to sample, remix or utilise for non-commercial purposes. There are also legal licenses that allow for commercialisation of the music. Basically I'm working for this company that's pushing this initiative in Malaysia, and I'm working on helping on the commercialisation portion. In fact, we are sorta helping Creative Commons Singapore in setting this up too. The point here is where the artist keeps the copyright, but can legally share the songs for free. Creative Commons is not restricted to only music, but to arts, video and soon science as well. Just PM me if you're interested in knowing more info on this. There are various websites for music out there governed by creative commons, you can try www.magnatune.com or www.soundclick.com . It's also a very good stepping stone for up and coming artists
