Hey guys..is there any difference between the Sansamp BDDI and the Sansamp Programmable? More specifically, does the Programmable one come with an overdrive as well. Oh and what are ur thoughts on this BDDI? isit versatile enough for ur preamp needs? (compared to the Homebrew Hematoma?)

hi..could you explain to me what a compressor does? and under what conditions should i get it for my bass, or is it generally a good thing to have?

could anyone explain what changing a preamp actually does to the sound and how it does dat? and if i had a j-bass and was looking to change to a more powerful pickup, what would u suggest? Also, since the j-bass is supposed to give you a mellow sound, would changing the preamp or pickups affect...

i juz bought my bass nt long ago..and i noticed something abt it---the bass string (E) is relatively much louder than the rest of the strings..even when the amp's setting is flat (no increase on anything)

i just started out TRYING to slap..but i juz wanna ask..when u guys slap ur bass,do u slap wif quite a lot of strength? cuz sometimes when i slap, there is sort of an "exploding" -puck- sound..and it makes me feel like i'm hurting my amp
