I'm planning to buy a hand held voice recording device (i'm not sure if this is the correct term for it) so as to make it more convenient for me to record my vocals / singing when i have an original composition in mind... i realised i always have ideas and there's no computer around or my phone...

I just started learning bass for fun... have been getting used to using my index finger to pluck... watched some youtube videos and saw that some bass players use picks for plucking while others can use most of their fingers to pluck... which is the correct method of these 3?

I have a problem with my vocal range... i think its too low. :( I can't sing a lot of songs by female singers in my normal voice unless i use my falsetto... so when i want to sing rock, i sound... fugly... help?
