hey people ,

just got a zildjian cymbal cleaner , does it work for my sabian XS20 set ? , i scared later not suitable or what later spoil or something, is it usable for sabian ?

Hey man, I thought your cymbals were new??

Shouldn't 'spoil' per se, the only cymbals that might suffer 'damage' are some B8 cymbals and most Paistes (because of special lacquer/coating applied to prevent tarnish as B8 tarnishes way faster and more drastically than B20).

If your pies are new, a good wipe to remove dust and fingerprints after each gig/practice session should keep em looking new.

Just to be safe, you can try a little bit of the cleaner on a small spot on the underside of a cymbal.

Do you have the cream or the paste? Generally most cleaners are made of a mild abrasive which removes a microscopic amount of metal, so be careful when cleaning around the logos, if you want to preserve them.

haha erm.. sabian cleaner is strong. abit.. the dunlop one forget about it. erm. your cymbals are still new dun use cymbal cleaner. use a cloth wet it and just clean. DUN USE CYMBAL CLEANER YET. it only eats your protective layer~!

aiyah kanzer now then u say  , lucky i nnvr use just test under and guess what my cymbal under turn black polish summore become brown , lucky i try underneath at one spot only man , got it at 12.60 bucks and it wasted me money should have use that to eat chicken rice man

ANYONE NEEDS A ZILDJIAN CYMBAL CLEANER ? PM ME !

edit : for 9 bucks , i used only 1 drop :D

Yup, my ma bought the dunlop one for me one fine day and told me to use it, I spent about an hour trying to clean off a quadrant of the cymbal and even the dirt won't come off. You're better off using brand specific cymbals or Vater. I think Sabian has a different line of cymbal cleaners for B8 and the other B series as compared to the rest, you might want to check it out.
