I've been thinking about this topic...
How have your music taste changes as you grow older?
I've seen many mature through their taste of music from teens music to something more contemporary like jazz, blues... Do you think you might head into the same direction? Example?
Now: Metal
20 years later: Jazz

There's always a possibility...

Hmm......theres a point made here.Take me for instance

9 yrs old;listened to first rock song,Scorpions-Wind Of Change

14 yrs old;Bought first rock album,Marilyn Manson-Holywood.Became avid MM fan.

16 yrs old;Began expanding taste,listened to Janes Addiction,AFI.

18 yrs old;Got into Goth rock and HM.

NOW,at 19 yrs old;Still Goth Rock, but this included Black and Death Metal as well and a bit of industrial.

Yup,it took me quite a while to be a rock fanatic but who knows what i might listen to in the future?Ballad rock aka Whitesnake?

i think at a young age, you'll start listening to more pop versions of the genre, then as you grow older, you either shave it off completely or you go more hardcore and start listening to more specific type of rock. Like in Dalif_Murderdoll's case.

i started listening to green day, linkin park and limp bizket, now im into screamo

i started off with punkrock, old blink stuff. Then, to blues, then hardrock then a bit of jazz. Now, totally into funk and using that to incoporate in my solos and rhythm and other genres.

I listen to a pretty wide range of music currently, it built up over the years. I started out listening to Rock like Scorpions, White Lion, etc. under the influence of my Dad when I was a little kid. He'd always play rock CDs in the car whenever we were travelling.

Later on when i was about primary 6 i stumbled upon Metallica, Slayer and also, Slipknot. My metal journey started from then on, going on death and black metal when i was in secondary school.

Then in Secondary School I started to listen to Blues and Jazz too. Then I got interested in traditional music. Currently, I listen to mostly to more brutal and technical death metal, and pop too, everyone listens to pop. I don't think my taste in music will change, but I think i'll grow to like more different types of music.
