"Black Panther" is Ying Hao’s debut studio album, presented and sung mostly in Hokkien (a Chinese dialect). The songs are composed of a mixture of heavy guitar riffing, traditional Chinese instrumental elements, and a touch of vocal effects. From energy filled hard rock songs to heart rendering ballads, accompanied with a unique touch of traditional Chinese musical elements, Ying Hao seeks to inspire and captivate his listeners.

His inspirational lyrics and catchy melodies are intertwined in his songs with a contemporary and unique twist. The songs mainly express the life experiences of a young man and his thoughts - such as having a loved one giving him courage to walk through the difficult moments in life and how one should have the courage to pursue his dreams.

Ying Hao is a Chinese rock vocalist and a singer/songwriter.

His musical journey started at the age of 15, when he started picking up the bass guitar. He joined his first and only hard rock band, “Overhead" as a bass player. Initially inspired, during his prime, by hard rock and heavy metal acts ranging from Iron Maiden and Stratovarious, to X-Japan, he eventually developed a keen interest towards jazz, blues, funk and world music. From then on, he devoted much of his time to practicing bass.

At the age of 17, he enrolled into Singapore Polytechnic, and took up a Diploma in Music and Audio Technology. There, Ying Hao grew interest towards songwriting, composing, and eventually, singing. Throughout his years of education in the course, Ying Hao has written and composed many forms of music, and exposed himself to live performances, as a singer/vocalist. From then on, Ying Hao began to create his very own concept of Oriental-Chinese Rock music, through the production of his first studio album release, “Black Panther”, which showcases a diverse blend of Hard Rock, with an Asian/Oriental slant, further driven by influential Hokkien lyrics.

Armed with brand new intense material from his debut studio album, Ying Hao is set to take his brand of Oriental-infused Chinese rock music across international shores. Ying Hao has taken the stage in the Singapore Polytechnic DMIT graduation show, which was highly well received by the audience. He has also performed in the "World Youth Rock Climbing Championship 2012" in Sentosa, which was broadcasted live on Internet TV.
