Yamaha Stage Customs Drums

i suggest u get some paiste... 602 or lower...

their highest end new signature/dark energy hi-hats retails up to S$900 at ranking.

imagine getting a wholse set of those!!! you'll burn a big big big big big black hole in ur pocket..

Zildjians are good but the shitty thing is that yamaha is the one of the distributors and their stock takes lightyears to come. So u have to take the risk of Vposting it urself...

Sabians are somewhat in stock in Swee Lee but some models are hard to get. I usually grab some sabian pies during sales since it's the cheapest.

U can try budget cymbals like Trojan and Wuhan.. They are cheap AND GOOD too... try asking drum_hobbiyist for a prologue.

DUDE!!! CYMBALS GO WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY BACK TO THE 1800!!!!!!

Weckl-x posted a SUUUUUUUUUUUPEERRRRRRR long thread on the history of zildjians and the people associated with them....

and ZILDJIAN is ONE company... SABIAN is ANOTHER COMPANY... though the owner of SABIAN - BOB ZILDJIAN is from the ZILDJIAN company...

if u never liked sabians or zildjians, than blow off a huge load on PAISTE!

coz PAISTE, ZILDJIAN AND SABIAN ARE SO CALLED the BIG THREE!!!!!

and as many other have said, there are other companies out there that make great pies... CHECK OUT THE STICKY THREAD MADE BY CHURNZ ON CHOOSING THE RIGHT CYMBALS - GETTING IT RIGHT!!!!

phew... surprize BUTTSECKZ.

no offence intende with the caps though... just a VOICE out.

what makes me mad is that u said there never really liked them tho'...

if u haven't try them, why u said u never liked them??? it's like judging a book just by looking at it's cover...

my suggestion is, Whack them all before u say u don't like them..

thats my best advice to you.

Happened to drop by MusicPlaza(PS) today, here's a price update of a few items I managed to take note off.

Manu Katche HipGig - $1290
Yamaha Stage Custom Advantage Noveau - $1962.10
Zildjian 13" K Mastersound $519.71
Zildjian 16" A Custom Fast Crash $377.50

Seems like they just have new stock for the cymbals come in, haven't seen their rack so full in awhile, best time to test if you're looking for some Zs.

hey yo bro.. i was at music plaza today too...

their pricing is abit weird...

a 16" A custom crash costs 377.. a 17" A custom crash costs 290...

and on top of that, u still have 15% off if ur member and 18% if student..

or u see some items there marked 18% off...so yeah u can grab em there...

the oak custom drumset looks wicked...\m/

What time we're u there bro?? i was there from 2.20 till 3. than go makan at kopitiam...

hey dude, im probably getting the one u're looking for. i just came back from yamaha. and i'll share the pricing with you,but my price is a yamaha student price.

Stage custom (from what this sales person says, its a mid-end set, but definately better sound quality than the low-end one)
$1514.06

A set of ZBT cymbals
$369

Total = $1883.06 (yamaha student price)

The Lower-end series + same set of ZBT cymbals = around $1200 (yamaha student price too)

so difference of mid-end and low-end will not be more than $600, probably around $500+

so it depends on you entirely whether u wanna get e mid-end or low-end one, to me, it dosent really makes a difference, cause the specs of the drums are the same. only thing is he claim that theres a sound quality difference, but i guess all that can be done if u know how to tune your drums properly? and low-end one has lower resale price as compared to the mid-end stage customs. thats all dude :D

Does the mid-set include stands and stool? Pricing and which branch can i buy that?

Dude,

Do not use the quote function unnecessarily and check the thread date before you reply.
You can order from either Tampines or Plaza Sing ones from what I know.
When you ask about the drumkit, its only the drums itself, meaning no cymbals, pedal or throne. I'm not sure if the hardware/stands are included, but I don't think so.
