Yamaha Silent Guitar

I was in Music Plaza at Plaza the other day and tried out the Silent Steel Guitar with a pair of headphones. The sound was surreal, especially with the reverbs set to 2. You can get lost in your own world for hours. I am wondering, anyone knows if there is a difference if I just use an electric guitar and play it through some acoustic simulators? Will it have the same tone and resonance of the Silent Guitar?

imho, no acoustic simulator or guitar synth effect can get the electric guitar to sound like a real acoustic/classical guitar. Personally i have played with both type of effect quite in depth, even with eq/setting adjusted, it does sounds close, but still lacking the kinda of response that you can get from the real thing.
