anybody noe how to transfer recorded user songs on the yamaha psr295 keyboard to the com?

do i need some synthesizer or midi software to do that?

no need lah.. only need a soundcard on the computer and a Y-cable to connect your psr to the soundcard line-in jack.

the Y-cable should be the single end with 3.5mm stereo jack, the double end with two 1/4" mono jacks. go sim lim and buy. most Y-cables from dept stores come with double RCA jacks instead of double 1/4" mono jacks. single end to computer line-in jack, double end to your psr L and R output.

then if your soundcard has a recording software, use that one. or you can download Acid XPress from www.acidplanet.com for free.

halo there,

I think your PSR keybd doesn't have any MIDI ports,
you can use USB port to do your song transfer.

Just run a Sequencer software on your PC and connect
your keybd via USB to PC, and you may begin transfer.

This is just a conceptual connection, you got to try out.
Read more from the net rdg your keybd.

hey bong, i think he meant that he wants to record audio, not midi.

iluv_2ins: if that's what u're thinking, then yes, input to the soundcard on the PC. ordinary one also can, though the quality might be compromised. next to your speaker output, the sound card should have one mic input and one line input. u should use the line input. your PSR can't only have usb ouput. doesn't make sense. it should have something called L/mono and R.
